You guys were right. I was just upholding my values. Woke up with no regrets too. And because I !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! I didn't have to worry about sleeping all day or having a massive hangover. Hooray for being able to be a productive member of society today! Think I'll go wash and vacuum out the Mazda6. Here's a few F/A-18s for your time and thanks.

holy hell, did a car based internet community prevent drinking and foster responsible choices?! I love this place!

My 2 cents: Of course a bunch of dudes on a car blog at 11 on a Thursday are going to tell you to stay in :P Not that it really matters either way, just make sure you maintain friendships in other ways lest you become "that guy who never hangs out" and no one even bothers calling you anymore.

Ditching hanging around with friends and chicks to sit around and mope on a computer all night is a "responsible choice"?

yes. It may not be the choice with black outs and vomit and stories but I think that's actually the definition of a "responsible choice"

You know, most adults can go out and have "a beer". It's really not that difficult. I've been consuming fun adult beverages for 2/3 of my adult life now (20+ years, yeesh) since I was 12-13, and I've never overindulged to the point where I've puked, blacked out, etc.
I go out and do the "social" thing with co-workers, management, etc 3x a week. It's how you make connections and move up.
Beats the hell out of staring at a computer screen and telling your friends to "fuck off" because they wanted you to hang out with them.

The only thing I'm debating is the definition of responsible. the remainder of your argument is something you are imagining that I'm saying...but am not.
